Can I come only to the social dances in the evening?
Yes you can. The prices are €10 for a DJs only night, €15 for a Band/DJs night and €20 on Saturday night (dinner not included).
Beds in the castle are reserved for people attending the full week of classes.
If you just want to come to the evening dances you need to find your own room/bed (in the "Healing Castle" for example or in the guest houses in the neighboring villages).
We are currently looking into the option of renting rooms from the local villagers. If this option becomes available, we will inform you via our Newsletter.
We have classes going on in the lobby of the castle from noon until 5:30pm, so in order to ensure minimal interruption of classes, you not allowed inside the castle until after classes have finished. You may NOT watch the classes.
Can I book only part of the camp classes (e.g. the weekend)?
No, you can't. The way the classes are set up, you would not get the chance to experience all the teachers.
The camp is designed to be a week long intensive and people who would join in at the end of the camp
would disrupt the flow and the established intimacy within the groups. You may come to the social dances
at your choice, but please contact us beforehand to find out if there are any sleeping possibilities left in Beesenstedt.
Can I just come for the weekend to social dance?
You can get a Weekend Party Pass which includes three dinners from Friday dinner until Sunday dinner including the Saturday Gala Dinner and entry to three Parties (Fri,Sat,Sun) for € 90.
This price does not include accommodation and it does not inlcude breakfast and lunch. Depending or where you find a place to sleep you will have to pay that separately. Please find your own accommodation during the weekend or contact us after the 11th of September to ask if we have sleeping places available.
The Weekend Party Pass does not include any classes. Sorry, but you may NOT watch the classes that are going on during the weekend!
Which airport should I fly into?
If you want to come via Berlin, you can choose either of the Berlin Airports. The shuttle bus will leave at 12:30pm from the Berlin Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof). You should plan at least 2 hours time between your flight arrival and the bus departure. (Time for baggage claim and travel from the airport to the Berlin Hauptbahnhof). The bus from Tegel Airport to Hauptbahnhof takes 20 minutes. The S-Bahn (Train) from Schönefeld Airport takes anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes.
Is there any camping?
Camping is not available at this point in time. We are looking into making it possible again, but don't bet on it.
Are there other hotels in the area?
Yes, you might find other places for accommodation in the neighboring villages. Find and contact them on your own. You will require a car or bike to get to these places.
We don't have any bikes to rent.
Will there be auditions for the different levels?
Yes, all people signed up for classes, except those in the Balboa Masters Track will participate in the auditions.
What's the schedule for the Balboa Castle Camp?
It's posted at the bottom of the "Classes" section and
here. Please note that the schedule might be subject to change. The final schedule will be posted on our infoboard at the camp.
How do I find someone I can sign up with?

facebook page .
What's the weather going to be like?
The weather is always perfect in Beesenstedt at this time of year. Bring swimming attire for the "pool". Bring a warm sweater and a jacket for a chilly night out in the crows nest.
What about the Sauna?
Yup, there is a sauna!
What is there to do in my spare time?
Be creative, think of something that will surprise someone else or yourself.
If you can't get enough of dancing - at certain times we will be offering supervised training sessions that you may attend.
You can also explore the castle (it holds many secrets) and its surroundings, i.e. by
taking a walk towards the village of Kloschwitz down an enchanted little valley.
Or take a dip in the "pool" located in the courtyard of the castle.
And then, there is always the sauna.
Is there a bar in the Castle?
Yes there is a fully equipped bar. This year, we are running the bar ourselves.
Money
There is a bank with a cash machine in Beesenstedt.
If, for any reason, you still need to make a payment to us, we only accept cash.
Can I bring my dog?
